Menu : Fish-Finger

This is a risqué mission for even the hardened ToasterChef. The basic principle is to effectively grill the fragile finger of breaded fish in one's toaster. It's tough because the fish loves to flake off.

This is a fun recipe to try out. More fun than taking a harpoon to The Sea Life Centre, infact. Give it a go and sea what you think.

  1. Microwave the Fish Finger for about 60 seconds to thaw out the middle.
    give the microwave the finger

  2. File the Fish Fingers into the Toaster. You can either Toast Upright or via use of the 90deg' flip.
  3. Engage the Toaster!
captain birdseye turns in his grave.

  4. Wait patiently while the Fish Fingers cook-off..this cod take a few minutes.

Tragedy Strikes!

A stray cluster of breadcrumbs must have fell to the bottom of the toaster, before igniting and engulfing the plastic base of our beloved:
flamin' eck>>boo hoo

The Toaster still works, and the FishFinger was (partially) edible. just a little burnt but still good ^^,

Technically a victory for the ToasterChef, but a near miss - we could've been left homeless at the hands of a flaming Toaster. It's not such a good idea to try this one so it's been fed to the bin-of-defeat.

A Breakthrough

After burying his grievances for the Trashed-Toaster, our mournful ToasterChef Chris Flak mailed in his simple yet effective counter to the burning breadcrumbs of a feisty fish finger:

.. Simply make a tin-foil tray (like the egg) And pop it in! it stops the crumbs from catching fire! I'm a genius!

I couldn't have said it better, Chris, you are indeed a genii (plural genius').
